How to install a custom UI

Its a lot easier then you may think.

1. Download your chosen interface (right click and save as)
2. Find the folder in your EverQuest directiory UIFILES. Usually (C:\Program Files\Sony\EverQuest\uifiles) inside there will be a folder Default.
3. Unzip the .zip file in the UIFILES directory
4. If you want to rename the <ui_name> directory now is the time.
5. Enter EverQuest.
6. Once in game type /loadskin. This will bring up a small selector window. Select <ui_name> and click the Load button. The screen will look like your zoning for a moment, then load your new mod.

Included in the downloaded .zip file is a INI file named <UI_yourname_yourserver> to keep the UI from resetting all the boxes back to default position replace <yourname> with your character name, and <yourserver> with the server name that your character plays on. Certain modifications will need to be made in game based on if you’re a caster, melee, or hybrid.

*The default folder CAN NOT be altered in anyway.. any changes made to this folder are over written at Start-Up of the game.
